Reading Time: < 1 minute

The revival of the economy and the creation of jobs are set to be high on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s first State of the Nation Address (SONA) for the sixth administration on Thursday evening.

President Ramaphosa’s address comes at a time when the economy had contracted by just over 3% with unemployment standing at over 26%.

But the President said his speech will seek to overcome these challenges.

National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise says they are ready to host the President and his guests.

Guests are expected to start arriving from 5pm in the afternoon.
