It’s business as usual at all airports: ACSA

Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has reassured passengers it is business as usual at all its airports across the country.

Law enforcement authorities have, however, beefed up the deployment of soldiers at national key points.

Security remains tight in and around OR Tambo airport.

This as the Economic Freedom Fighters-led nationwide shutdown has prompted protests across the country. The party is calling for the President’s resignation and an end to rolling blackouts.

A high contingent of various law enforcement authorities has been strategically deployed in and around the OR Tambo International Airport.

The airport has temporarily closed the passenger terminal departures drop-off and the arrival pick-up roads, as a safety precaution.

Airports Company South Africa says all nine of its airports across the country will operate as usual, however, with increased vigilance.
