CEO of Barclays Africa, Maria Ramos says investors are turning out for South African events.

South African business leaders at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos in Switzerland continue to celebrate the new attitude towards South Africa as an investment destination.

They say that meetings have become easier given the burst of positivity around South Africa since Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa, was elected as the new African National Congress (ANC) leader.

The rand has broken below R12 to the dollar while Ramaphosa has been leading a delegation to the meeting that brings investors together with politicians and leaders of world organisations.

CEO of Barclays Africa, Maria Ramos says investors are turning out for South African events and people can feel the confidence around the South African team and the confidence they have in their country rubs off on others.
