Investigations into a shooting that claimed the lives of eight people including two children at an informal settlement in Clare Estate in Durban at the weekend are continuing.
It is alleged that they were killed in two separate incidents within minutes of each other.
Police say it is believed that the killings are related.
“They were called to Palmiet Road on arrival in one of the shacks they found two males, two females as well as two children dead. They had gunshot wounds to their bodies and when they went to a nearby shack they also found another male and female also. For now, it’s not easy for us to what the motive was,” says Thembeka Mbhele, KwaZulu-Natal Police Spokesperson.
