Reading Time: < 1 minute

Eskom in partnership with the Eastern Cape Education department will launch and showcase a Science Enhancement Initiative in East London.

They will also be awarding bursaries worth R11 million to Eastern Cape students.

Eskom acting general manager, Loyiso Tyabashe says the project is about making sure that science is practical for learners.

“The partnership we have started with the Technology Research Activities Centre will bring mobile laboratory to specific schools that have been identified by the Department of Education in Eastern Cape to make sure that students can actually practically practise science going forward instead of it remaining as a theoretical subject.”
