INFOGRAPHIC: What to expect under Level 2 lockdown

South Africa will move from Level 3 to Level 2 lockdown effectively from midnight on Monday.

President Cyril Ramaphosa announced government’s risk-adjusted strategy on the coronavirus pandemic in the country on Saturday evening.

A curfew of 10pm – 4am will still be in place, and restrictions of no more than 50 people at funerals and gatherings will still need to be adhered to.

Interprovincial travel will be allowed under level two lockdown; while domestic air travel will also be permitted.

The President also announced the lifting on the ban of alcohol and tobacco sales.

Gyms and accommodation services can also reopen under strict health protocols.
