The woes of Orlando Pirates continued when the Soweto giants suffered their third defeat in a row.

Pirates lost 1- 0 to Bloemfontein Celtic, at the Free State Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Bucs have now lost two matches in a row in the Absa Premiership, after losing to Bidvest Wits midweek. They were looking to bounce back against second placed Bloemfontein Celtic at the Free State Stadium.

But Pirates came up against an in-form Celtic, who started the season on a high, with two wins after two matches.

The home side started on a high when Bongani Sam scored his first goal in the Absa Premiership in the 17th minute, with an over-head kick after his side was initially denied by the post.
