Launching its manifesto in Gauteng, Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) promises to focus on job creation, take a tougher stance on crime and improve the education system if it comes to power.
The launch was held in Zola, Soweto, south of Johannesburg.
IFP supporters came out in their numbers to hear their leaders proposed plans for Gauteng. According to the party, employment and anti-corruption are important for Gauteng to succeed.

On issues of land distribution, the party believes the process should prevent land losing its value.
For supporters, promises of improved education and anti-corruption struck a chord. The party will have to wait until 8 May to see if the turnout will translate into votes.
