The Results Operations Centre (ROC) at the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is a hub of activities as South Africa gears up for the 2019 National and Provincial elections.
The IEC is expected to host the results announcement at the ROC in Pretoria on Saturday.
Throughout the week, the ROC hosts different political parties, analysts, media houses and election observers as well as South Africans head to the polls.
Election results wall
The wall behind the main stage at the ROC takes centre stage once vote counting begins on Wednesday. The results will be displayed on the wall from Wednesday night, as they are finalised.

Media houses
Media houses from different parts of the world are hosted at ROC with different media been allocated a working space at the centre. Media houses include Television stations, radio stations, print media and digital platforms.
South African 24-Hours News channels are placed in the centre of the hall facing the results board. This year, the channels are SABC News, eNCA and newcomer NewzRoom Afrika. The channels have regular broadcasts from the ROC.
Exhibition
The IEC also hosts an exhibition of election related material at ROC throughout the week. The exhibition displays historical and current material relating to the elections.
Political parties Seats
Political parties taking part in the elections are allocated seats on the floor at the ROC.
