The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) in the Free State says allegations of vote-rigging in the province have never been brought to their attention.
This is after the Freedom Front Plus questioned the integrity of the commission following reports of vote manipulation at some voting stations in the province.
Free State provincial electoral officer, Jabulani Tshabalala, says this is nothing but speculation.
“Nothing that suggests vote-rigging was brought to our attention at least from the meetings I was chairing this morning or other meetings that I chaired before when we started to convene meetings at this results operation centre. We hear about this vote-rigging on television like anybody else and it’s receiving attention at national office.”
