Hunt still on for suspects who killed man and woman travelling in red Ferrari in Soweto

Police are still looking for the killers of a man and woman who died when unknown assailants opened fire on the red Ferrari they were travelling. The 41-year-old man and 21-year-old woman died on the scene.  

Police Spokesperson, Mavela Masondo, says the motive for the attack on the corner of Chris Hani and Klipvalley Roads in Soweto on Sunday night, are still unclear. 

“A Toyota Etios with unconfirmed number of occupants blocked them from the front and started shooting at the Ferrari before speeding off. Both victims, a male aged 41 and female aged 21 died on the scene. Police have opened a case of murder for investigation.” 

Masondo says no suspects have been arrested so far and has appealed to anyone with information to come forward.  

“We appeal to the community to assist the police with any information that can help with the investigation or assist to apprehend the suspects to please call the nearest police station.”
