Carnivores are stuffing themselves at the annual Hantam meat festival in Calvinia in the Northern Cape. Thousands have descended on the Namaqualand town for the festival.
It’s a meat lover’s paradise with meat of every cut, served in a variety of ways.
“And the meat – ohhh, its juicy, it’s fantastic and I like it, I like it very much, ” says one attendant.
While the meat cravings have been been satisfied for now, organisers are already working on how to fatten things up for next year.
