How tech reduced the length of voting queues?

Twenty five years into democracy, South Africa goes to polls again on May the 8th. Unlike the first election in 1994, most people won’t have to deal with long, snaking lines.

In the 2019 National and Provincial elections, the country will have less than 5000 people per voting station thanks to the introduction and use of modern technology.
