The Presiding Officer or Counting Officer at the voting station must follow up on all objections. They should:
- investigate the objection;
- record the finding on the written objection;
- inform the objector of the decision;
- and keep a record of each objection.
All decisions may be appealed by submitting written notifications to the IEC within 48 hours of the polls closing.
