The winner of this tie will make it to the CAF Confederation Cup group stages and TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has more on what is driving his side.

The combination of Dan ‘Dance” Malesela and and former Nigerian international defender Muisi Ajao didn’t just start now at TS Galaxy as head coach and assistant but it goes back to their playing days.

Ajao joined Malesela at Mamelodi Sundowns in 1998 at centre-back coming from Kaizer Chiefs where he had spent a season after arriving from Percy Tau’s current team Club Brugge in Belgium.

The two also played continental football for the Brazilians under the late Ted Dumitru and Malesela says they are now using their experience in guiding Galaxy in the CAF Confederation Cup.

After coming back with a convincing 4-1 win on aggregate over Madagascar side Cnaps FC this past weekend, the Rockets are now waiting to be pitted against a team that would’ve dropped down from the CAF Champions League.

Galaxy have won all their four matches in the CAF Confederation Cup so far.

Leopards were the last team from the First Division to have a good run like Galaxy is doing now in this competition back in 2012, the Mpumalanga based side will have to wait for the draw next Wednesday to know their next opponent in the play-off.

Malesela already has his mind set on reaching the lucrative group stages and doing well there.

FOCUS: BARNS ON HIS BRACE & GALAXY’S GOOD RUN

One of the good things that Galaxy did after beating Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final in May and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup, was to retain the bulk of their squad.

In the Glad Africa Championship, they’ve started fairly well there too, with a win and two draws and Banele Barns who scored a brace in Madagascar tells SABC Sport journalist Velile Mnyandu what this result means to this young group of players. – Report by Velile Mnyandu
