Hot, dry conditions to persist in most parts of Cape Town

The South African Weather Service says the hot and dry condition that Cape Town is currently experiencing is expected to persist into Friday. It says cooler weather condition will roll over into the weekend.

Temperatures of up to 37 degrees have been recorded in some parts of the city on Thursday.

Forecaster Lebogang Makgati says temperatures in the high 20s can be expected on Friday.

“Tomorrow over Cape Town City, the weather will still be nice and warm. It should be sunny for the day with temperatures in the high twenties. It  should be a nice and warm day. We’re looking at 28 for the Cape Town City. It should be fairly warm over most of the area, however we do expect cloudy conditions along the West Coast with possible fog in the morning that will be clearing during the course of the day,” says Makgati.
