Hip Hop artist Tzafenda has released another single titled Rap Parliament. The song is dedicated to the Hip-Hop movement and culture in South Africa. “It is a traditional rap song. It dropped this week on all digital platforms,” he says.

The single comes at least three months after Tzafenda, whose real name is Thizwihangwi Nemanashe, released his first single It’s Alright.

Below is an interview with Tzafenda when the single was released:

It’s Alright was released in July and the muso says it has been well received.  “It’s Alright is doing quite well, probably because it is a cross-over song. Several radio stations have been playing it, especially regional and community radio stations and internet radio (stations). They have been playing it on high rotation on several radio stations that I know about, that I have noticed. It is doing well also on digital platforms.”

The video of the song which features Mpho Havila was released last week. “It was put together in the City of Tshwane, that is in Soshanguve, as well as Pretoria-West, that is Danville and on top of the Magalies Mountain. It was put together by Jay Swagg Pictures, that is a homeboy of mine who does videography there in Soshanguve. “

Tzafenda chose a simple setting for the video. “It is basically really about the message on the song, about family, about appreciating our loved ones, and the struggles that we have been through and how they shaped us. So, the video has a simple set up in a natural habitat,” he says.

He plans to get the video played on music television stations. Tzanfenda has been spending time recording more songs and plans to schedule performances for December.
