Reports coming out of Zimbabwe indicate that doctors in that country are painting a very bleak picture saying there’s a shortage of health workers as the number of coronavirus cases begin to rise.
Dr Rashida Ferrand, an epidemiologist at the main public hospital in the capital Harare, says the shortage emanates from a strike in the sector and a shortage of personal protective equipment.
The hospital has had to turn away coronavirus patients because it only has 30 beds for virus patients. There has also been a lot of arrests over the weekend of people protesting against issues of corruption.
