Hawks, RTMC partner to nab corrupt traffic officers

A car chase has ensued between traffic officers and the Hawks in Mokopane in Limpopo.

The Hawks and the Road Traffic Management Corporation’s anti-corruption unit are on a campaign to arrest traffic officers suspected of corrupt and fraudulent activities.

Six officers fled the Mokopane weigh bridge in three cars when the Hawks arrived.

Four traffic officers in two vehicles were stopped and arrested while two are still at large.

The remaining traffic officers fled in a white unmarked car.

The other two marked vehicles were stopped a few kilometers from the station.

The hawks and RTMC officers are driving in the streets of Mokopane looking for the two officers who have fled.

About 10 trafffic officers are being targeted in Mokopane.
