The nominations for GSport awards are officially opened. This is an opportunity for the public to nominate women who are involved in South Africa’s sports.

The awards are sponsored by an online platform that follows and highlights women’s sports achievements by recognising their talent.

The GSport awards began over ten years ago with a small group of women involved in sport in different areas- on the field of play, in the media and in officiating and administration.

GSport is an online initiative to raise the profile of South African women in sport.

The founder, Kass Naidoo says “I urge you to nominate people who have never been recognised before. This is not the stage where we keep recognising the same people”

Speaking on Morning Live, Last year’s Hall of Fame inductee, Vicky Masuku says, “These awards are also an encouragement to all of us women that are involved in sports that we should do our best all the time.”
