Reading Time: < 1 minute

The residents of Ketleng Township in Koster, North West, have called for the government to address water challenges. They say water shortages in the area for a long time have posed sanitation threats to them.

The residents hope President Cyril Ramaphosa will address these challenges. He is at the Reagile Sports around to deliver the keynote speech at the commemoration of Human Rights Day on Monday.

Koster residents urged government to address water, housing issues:

Housing

A Ketleng resident, Keamo Kgwele wants the government to address housing issues in the area. She complains about being confined to a two-roomed house. “Imagine having to plan a wedding or a funeral from a two-roomed house.”

Arguing that quality housing is a basic human right, Kgwele urges the government to look at, at least, building four rooms for residents.
