Government and business leaders have emphasized the importance of business integration to withstand economic shocks. Southern Africa Europe CEO dialogue took place over two days in Sandton.

The dialogue, held in Johannesburg in a hybrid format, is a platform for promoting dialogue about long-term growth of strategic trade and economic relations between Europe and Southern Africa.

Former Finance Minister Nhlahla Nene told delegates about the weight that trade pulls in productivity levels.

Zimbabwe Minister of Industry and Commerce called for investment in Zimbabwe, saying the country has emerged from its past.

Former Minister of Trade and Investment in Botswana says there need to be clear plans for industrialisation including stimulating investment.

Investment promotion agency, the Gauteng Growth Development Agency says it stands ready to assist businesses in key sectors to expand into the rest of the continent.
