The private sector has joined hands with government to create the much-needed jobs in the country. That’s according to President Cyril Ramaphosa who delivered his State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament.

He says the private sector has committed to invest over R840 billion in over 40 projects to create thousands of jobs.

“Now, in discussions with business, government has committed to remove policy impediments and accelerate the implementation of these projects. We are urgently working on a set of priority reforms, to improve the ease of doing business by consolidating and streamlining regulatory processes, automating permits, and other applications and reducing the cost of compliance. Infrastructure, as we all know, is a critical area of investment that supports structural transformation, growth and job creation,” says Ramaphosa.
