Former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan has encouraged the members of the Business Ethics Network of Africa (Ben-Africa) to lead the way in upholding good and ethical business standards.

Ben-Africa has honoured Gordhan with the Order of Baobab for his moral courage and ethical leadership at its 16th annual conference in Stellenbosch.

In his acceptance speech, Gordhan urged South Africans to take a bold stand in exposing bad practices such as State capture.

“One of the things the State capture has done is make people in all sections of society aware of what is going on, very aware of what is right and what is wrong, very aware who the culprits are and what needs to be done. We certainly as South Africans have formidable challenges that we face.”
