GBV activists to embark on a candlelight march in memory of Hillary Gardee

Activists against Gender-based Violence will embark on a candlelight march and prayer on Friday afternoon in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, in memory of Hillary Gardee.

Hillary is the daughter of the former Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) General Secretary Godrich Gardee who was reported missing last week Friday.

The lifeless body of the 28-year-old was found off the road to Mashishing on Tuesday morning by farmworkers.

Gardee will be laid to rest on Saturday in Mbombela.

Meanwhile, senior government officials and politicians have been sending messages of condolences and visiting the Gardee family.

 The family of Hillary Gardee says postmortem results have confirmed that she had a gunshot wound to the head.

Gardee’s family says the police were not thorough in their investigations.
