The Gauteng Department of Education’s online application system for grade one and eight learners has opened.
Parents can apply for a maximum of five schools per learner.
Those applying for grade eight have the option to indicate which school the child is currently attending, in order to facilitate identifying high schools closest to the learner’s current primary school.
The system will close at midnight on May 28th – and parents are urged to register their children as soon as possible.
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi says all parents that have children going to grade one or eight are advised to apply at www.gdeadmissions.gov.za.
“We will be in a position to place them from the 18th of July. We are encouraging all parents to go online,” says Lesufi.
