Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Ismail Vadi says that public participation on the proposed renaming of 20 Gauteng roads will start soon.
Ismail Vadi says that the categories extend to sports personalities, business leaders, political figures etc.
“We are in the process to rename 20 major provincial roads and what we have done as a department is to recommend 20 names of persons who have made a profound contribution in the struggle against apartheid for instance and will continue to make a contribution to our province in Gauteng.”
