The Gauteng Education Department has extended the online admission system for Grades one and eight for the 2018 academic year.
The department says no new applications will be processed when schools re-open in January.
Over 70% of the more than 285 000 learners who required placements in schools have been placed.
The department’s Steve Mabona says the system will open for late applications from November 1-10 2017.
He says, “The department also calls upon parents who applied during the admissions period in May who still have not been placed to visit the district offices for placement.”
These parents need not apply as their details are already in our system.
