After the welcomes, as expected the President went straight into the challenges of unemployment, poverty and inequality affecting Africans, women and the youth. The president highlighted ways in which government plans to tackle these challenges. He spoke about the plans to make the mining sector globally competitive, which will help unemployment vastly.
