The Freedom Front Plus will on Wednesday morning announce its mayoral candidate for Cape Town. The party says it will reveal the names of eight leading people on its Cape Town election candidate list for Local Government Elections.
The Freedom Front Plus is keeping the identity of its candidates a mystery for now.
The party states its mission as the realization of the Afrikaner community’s internationally recognised right to self-determination, territorial or otherwise, the maintenance, protection, and promotion of their rights and interests.
Yet it surprised many during the last general elections when it nominated coloured nationalist Peter Marais as its Premier candidate for the Western Cape.
It remains to be seen whether the party will seek to surprise once more or will it stick to its traditional base and nominate an Afrikaner candidate.
