Free State Premier Sisi Ntombela has defended her cabinet reshuffle, which some opposition parties have described as disappointing.

Ntombela made one change to the portfolio of health when she named Montsheng Tsiu as the new MEC.

The position was previously occupied by Butana Komphela who has been moved to the Social Development portfolio.

The Premier retained all the MECs but moved some to new portfolios.

She says she has confidence in her new cabinet.

“I have decided to assign responsibility of Human Settlement to the MEC of Public Works. Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) shall be a standing alone portfolio assigned to its own MEC,” adds Ntombela.
