Four suspected poachers have been arrested in Llandudno in the Cape Peninsula.
City of Cape Town Mayoral Committee Member of Safety and Security, JP Smith, says the law enforcement Marine Unit spotted the patrol along the Atlantic seaboard.
Smith says the crew on board were still wearing their wetsuits and attempted to flee from the officers.”
SANParks’ spokesperson Isaac Phaahla says the rangers recovered heavy calibre hunting rifles, ammunition and poaching equipment.
Phaahla says the suspects have been handed over to the police to face poaching charges.
