Reading Time: < 1 minute

Four people have been killed and one other injured during a head-on collision between a sedan and a bakkie on the R101 road in Mookgophong, Limpopo.

Traffic spokesperson Mike Maringa says preliminary investigations reveal that the sedan’s tyre burst, and it veered onto oncoming traffic.

Maringa says, “The accident was caused by a therapist that led to a head-on crash… killing four people instantly. Motorists are urged to check the state of their vehicles before they travel to avoid unnecessary crashes and also to adhere to all traffic rules. Traffic is expected to increase on the province roads this coming week with thousands of people travelling to various destinations before Christmas and New Year.”
