Four people have died in a crash on the R40 road between Acornhoek and Casteel in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga.

It is believed the driver of a sedan lost control of the vehicle and collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.

The truck was travelling from Acornhoek.

Earlier this month, seven people were killed in two separate road crashes in Mpumalanga.

This after, four of them were killed when a vehicle overturned on the R540 road between Belfast and Dullstroom.

The victims included two men and two women. They were all declared dead on the scene.

In the other accident, a head-on collision claimed the lives of three people on the R580 road between Secunda and Embalenhle.
