Former Zim Finance Minister mulls to quit politics

Embattled former Zimbabwean Finance and Economic Development minister Ignatius Chombo has offered to quit politics.

Chombo who was also Zanu-PF secretary for administration says he will either return to lecturing at universities or go into full-time farming. He was unceremoniously kicked out of the ruling party last month.

Chombo was denied bail in the High Court in Harare a few days ago. He was charged with criminal abuse of office, corruption and fraud.
