Eastern Cape police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of the body of the wife of former Springbok coach Peter De Villiers.
The 62 year-old, Theresa de Villiers was found floating in a swimming pool on Monday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Sandra Janse van Rensburg says “It is alleged that at 12 o’clock, the body of a 62 year old woman was found in a swimming pool. She was found in the pool by a family member and no foul play is suspected, circumstances surrounding the drowning are under investigation.”

Meanwhile, The GOOD Party has extended condolences to its councillor and former Bok coach, Peter de Villiers, following his wife’s death.
The 62-year-old was visiting family at the time and was found by a family member. GOOD’S Secretary-General, Brett Herron, has wished De Villiers strength during this difficult time.
