Former SABC radio personality Martha Makhela has passed away

The family spokesperson says 58-year-old  Makhela was found dead at home on Monday.

Former South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) radio personality, Martha Makhela has died at her home in Polokwane, in Limpopo.

Makhela worked for the SABC for more than 15 years in various programmes, including Current Affairs and radio programming at PhalaPhala FM.

Spokesperson for the Makhela family, Sarah Lidzhade, says 58-year-old  Makhela was found dead at home on Monday.

“Martha Makhela is no more she passed on yesterday. It was a saddening thing. We’re still waiting to hear more from forensic. We have arranged for the funeral on Friday.”
