Former journalist Vannessa Tedder says she intends laying harassment charges against the person who has been sending her threatening text messages.

Tedder recently launched her book “Beaten But Not Broken”, that revealed years of emotional and physical abuse she suffered at the hands of a former partner.

Tedder says the threatening text messages have scared her, but she says this will not stop her from speaking out about violence against women.

“Things took a bit of a twist, when I received a threatening message on my cell phone. I don’t know where it has come from, I don’t know who’s behind it but the person claims to know where I live, has told me that I should run for the hills. I will be laying a charge, obviously it will be up to police to investigate and get to the bottom of who is behind these messages. I was quite traumatised. I still am because this is an invasion of my privacy, of my safety.”
