Former head of the Hawks in Limpopo, Major-General Dibero Molatjana is giving evidence in the Lenyenye Regional Court outside Tzaneen where she is being tried on four charges of fraud and corruption amounting to about R400 thousand.

Former head of the Hawks in Limpopo, Major-General Dibero Molatjana has accused former national head of the crime busting unit, General Berning Ntlemeza of purging her.

Molatjana is giving evidence in the Lenyenye Regional Court, outside Tzaneen where she is being tried on four charges of fraud and corruption amounting to about R400 000.

Molatjana is being tried for allegedly making fraudulent travel claims when she was using her private vehicle to carry out state duties.

The state also accuses her of using a state vehicle to transport her son to an institution of higher learning in Pretoria on a weekly basis in 2012.

When testifying in her own defence, Molatjana denied having committed the crimes.

The state has already concluded calling its witnesses and now the defence’s Advocate Morathashana Dolamo led Molatjana when she was giving her testimony.

The state’s Advocate Andrew Nxumalo will then cross examine Molatjana.
