Reading Time: < 1 minute

The AU summit gets underway on Saturday in Nouakchott Mauritania.

The two day summit is aimed at discussing pressing issues on the continent.

One of those issues is the humanitarian situation in Africa. The Peace and Security council are expected to focus on the crisis in South Sudan.

Millions of Africans are displaced on the continent, while millions have fled to Europe.

The displacement is caused by conflicts, political instability, insecurity, terrorism, violent extremism and natural disasters on the continent.

South Sudan is the most affected. The Summit leaders will again try and find solution to the conflict in that country.
