Five suspects arrested and charged with the possession of stolen goods and illegal firearms and ammunition are on Tuesday expected to appear in the Garankuwa Magistrate’s Court outside Pretoria.
They were arrested at Kgabalatsane village.
During the arrest, police managed to confiscate 10 pairs of sneakers, four cellular phones and bags containing luggage.
The suspects are linked to cases of murder, business and house robberies that were committed in the area for the past three months.
They face charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition as well as possession of suspected stolen property.
