Five suspects are expected to appear before the Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court in North West on charges of illegal possession of fire-arms and conspiracy to commit robbery.
This follows their arrest at the mall in the area on Friday.
Police spokesperson Kelebogile Moleko says: “The police got a tip-off in the early hours of Friday about conspiracy to commit crime and swiftly responded. Upon arrival they found five suspects at the mall in posession of one soft product and two revolver firearms and ammunition.”

Investigations into the matter are continuing.
