She was beaten in three sets by 8th seed Petra Kvitova.
Through to the 3rd round in the men’s draw is Roger Federer, playing his first tournament since Wimbledon.

Tennis’ latest wonder kid, Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece, is out though. Fatigue saw him beaten in straight sets by the 11th seeded Belgian David Goffin.
