Former Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda has decried inequality in South Africa.

She delivered the annual Nelson Mandela Lecture, under the theme – The Rule of Law, International Criminal Justice and its Contribution to Sustainable Development on Wednesday.

She says it is time for the country to emulate the values of the late former president Nelson Mandela of creating an equal and humane society.

Delivering the annual Nelson Mandela Lecture, Bensouda said that a more equal South Africa would only be achieved if everyone was carried on board including women and those that the apartheid system may have dispossessed.
