Farmers hope for relief in Mboweni’s MTBPS

Farmers in the North West are keenly waiting for today’s medium-term budget speech. They are especially looking forward to possible further announcements on land reform.

The farmers, under the Moses Kotane Land Rights Forum, say the allocation of state land to farmers must be fair and free of corruption. The Forum has also called for more assistance in accessing leases and infrastructure development.
