The family of murdered African National Congress (ANC) eThekwini Councillor, Sibusiso Khwela has welcomed the decision to hand the investigation over to the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
The 59-year-old was shot dead in Klaarwater, Durban while assisting community members on Thursday.
Khwela’s sister, Nana Khwela-Dladla says the family hopes that the suspect will be arrested and brought to justice as soon as possible.
She says, “We are happy that the PKTT will play a major role in finding the killers because my brother was brutally murdered. He didn’t deserve this, we are very sad. If the killers are found that will ease our hearts.”
