First Touch Academy head coach John Hlako believes Banyana Banyana failing to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games affords an opportunity to have an honest review of the team.

The coach also expressed sadness at the spate of gender based violence that has grabbed the country this week.

Among the many victims reported in the news is the late former SA Boxing champion Leighandre “Baby-Lee” Jegels. The 25 year old was shot and killed allegedly by an ex-boyfriend last Friday.

Hlako believes the South African justice system needs to be strong in conviction of perpetrators of violence on children and women. – Report by Lethabo Kganyago
