KwaZulu-Natal Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila says the inclement weather can result to road closure in some areas.
“MEC Sipho Hlomuka has urged residents to exercise extreme caution especially motorists as the inclement weather conditions are expected to lead to a number of roads being unpassable in the areas surrounding the Drakensberg.”
“The weather conditions will also pose a risk to areas that utilise generators and braziers. Residents are urged to exercise extreme caution to ensure that they utilize generators and braziers in a manner that is safe,” adds Mzila.
