Over 300 Ethiopian nationals in Heilbron in the Free State have appealed to local residents to welcome them back into the community.
The nationals, including their wives and children, have sought refuge at a local church after 56 of their shops were looted and burnt during service delivery protest in July.
Foreign shops remain closed some burnt down.
Now Ethiopian nationals want to be reintegrated back in the community. They’ve marched to local authorities for intervention.
The church has become their home and there is mixed reactions from locals.
The local police station’s head has promised to escalate the national’s demands to the local government for intervention.
