Eskom will suspend rolling blackouts from midnight on Friday due to lower weekend demand.
The power utility says it will publish a further update on Sunday afternoon or as soon as any significant changes occur.
The country has been experiencing Stage 2 rolling blackouts since Monday afternoon.
